EBFA
Europêche hosts the secretariat of the European Bottom Fishing Alliance (EBFA). Created in March 2022, EBFA works to defend bottom fishing as a sustainable activity vital to Europe’s coastal communities, food supply and jobs, and to ensure EU policies are rooted in science and evidence.
Projects
Europêche plays an active role in European projects that drive innovation, science, sustainable practices, and improve training, safety and working conditions at sea. We ensure that the knowledge and experience of European fishers shape these initiatives and that their results reach policymakers and stakeholders. Through this work, we help turn research into real benefits for Europe’s fishing communities.
